For my bachelor’s project, I deliberately chose a strategic and conceptual approach to developing a comprehensive corporate identity. At the center of the project is Hotel Belvédère on the Furka Pass, an architectural and cultural landmark in the Swiss Alps with a rich and storied history.
The historic building, known for its prominent location on a mountain curve and its Belle Époque architecture, served as the foundation for a repositioning. The goal was not only to reinterpret the hotel visually but also to develop its identity further by reflecting on its past, present, and future.

A key design element is a contour line that symbolically references the winding roads of the Grand Tour of Switzerland. This panoramic route runs directly past the hotel and makes its location tangible through visual language. The line is generated by a custom-built generative system, allowing each medium—from print to digital—to feature a unique version.
The medium’s format defines the boundaries of the contour. This ensures a clear, flexible structure while creating a distinctive visual identity. It becomes a graphic link between movement, landscape, and brand.
The corporate identity includes a dynamic logo, typographic system, color palette, visual language, and editorial content for both print and digital platforms. The project is complemented by applied design elements such as a curated hotel brochure, vehicle branding, and product design for in-house marketing materials.
